피아니스트 김진
다채로운 음색과 풍부한 표현력으로 청중에게 다가가는 피아니스트 김 진은 제주 출생으로 제주대학교 예술디자인대학 음악학부 실기 수석으로 졸업하였으며, 도독하여 에센 폴크방 국립음대
(Folkwang Universitat der Kunste) 에서 전문연주자 과정을 졸업함과 동시에 도미하여 노스텍사스 대학교 (University of North Texas) 에 실기 장학생으로 입학하여 Deans Camerata Scholarship, Euline &Horace Brock Merit Scholarship, A.L. Putnam Piano Scholarship, USC Scholarship, UNT Scholarship, Eastman Scholarship, Robert J. Rogers Piano Scholarship, Isabel & Silvio Scionti Music Scholarship등을 수여 받으며 피아노 연주 (Piano Performance) 전공과 피아노 반주 (Collaborative Piano) 부전공으로 박사학위 (Doctor of Musical Arts) 를 취득하였다.
일찍이 제주 KBS 음악 콩쿠르에서 최우수상에 입상하며 주목을 받은 피아니스트 김 진은 제주도립교향악단, 제주대학교 오케스트라, 대구 CM 오케스트라, Rumania Floiesti Philarmonic Orchestra등과 협연을 하였으며, 스타인웨이 피아노 150주년 기념 연주에 초청되어 독일 Konzerthaus Dortmund에서 연주를 가졌다. 특히 아메리칸 프로티지 국제 콩쿨, 로즈 페트로프 피아노 콩쿨, 이사벨 샤온티 피아노 콩쿨 등에 입상하며 뉴욕 카네기홀에서의 데뷔 리사이틀을 성공리에 마쳤으며, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, The University of Texas at Arlington, Steinway Hall at San Antonio에서의 초청 연주를 가졌다.
더욱 더 다양한 음악적 지식을 얻고자 수많은 음악캠프에 참가 및 연주를 하였으며, 백혜선, Timothy Shafer, Hans Leygraf, Sheila Arnold, Douglas Humpherys, Ian Hobson 등의 세계적인 유명 교수들의 마스터클래스에 참가하여 견문을 쌓았다.
국내에서 박순방 교수를, 국외에서 Arnulf von Arnim, Sheila Arnold, Adam Wodnicki, Elvia Puccinelli (반주) 교수를 사사하였으며, 현재 국내와 미국을 중심으로 활발한 연주 활동을 펼쳐 나가고 있다.
